The sixth day of the 2023 Mid-Year Gems Emporium

The 2023 Mid-Year Gems Emporium entered its sixth day at the Maniradana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Local and foreign merchants examined the displays of jade lots within the hall and uncut jade lots outside the hall, commencing in the morning.
Throughout the exhibition, a total of 4,045 jade lots were sold through an open tender system. A total of 750 jade lots were successfully purchased through an open tender system by local and foreign merchants during yesterday’s exhibition, with 601 jade lots being sold.
A total of 753 jade lots were on display for the seventh day of the exhibition, where they were inspected by local and foreign merchants, and bids were placed in the tender box.
Officials closed the bidding for the 753 jade lots at 3 pm. The tender boxes will be opened, and the sale of jade lots will be announced at 8 am on 26 October.
In the exhibition, a total of 300 pearl lots were successfully sold, and 73 gem lots out of 160 gem lots were sold from 21 to 22 October, with a total of 702 jade lots being sold out of 750 jade lots on the fifth day of the exhibition.
The remaining jade lots will continue to be available for purchase at the Maniradana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw up to 28 October.

The fifth day of the 2023 Mid-Year Gems Emporium

The 2023 Mid-Year Gems Emporium continued its 5th Day at Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw on 24th of October. 

Local and foreign jewelers observed the displayed jade lots since in the morning of the day. Totaling 4,045 jade lots are being sold through open tender system day by day. On this 5th day, 750 jade lots were put on sale and from there, 702 were sold.

The going to sell 750 jade lots were observed by local and foreign merchants and bids were placed in the tender box. The tender forms were closed at 3pm and the sale of jade lots will be announced at 8am on 25th of October. Moreover, the remaining jade lots are going to be displayed at Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw till 28th of October.

The fourth day of the 2023 Mid-Year Gems Emporium

The fourth day of the 2023 Mid-Year Gems Emporium was held at Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw on 23 October.

Local and foreign merchants explored the displays of pearls, jade, and gem lots within the hall and uncut jade lots outside the hall starting in the morning.

During the exhibition, 73 gem lots out of 160 gem lots were sold through an open tender system during yesterday's exhibition.

A total of 750 jade lots were on display for the fifth day of the exhibition, where they were inspected by local and foreign merchants, and bids were placed in the tender box.

Officials closed the bids for the 750 jade lots at 3 pm. The tender boxes will be opened, and the sale of jade lots will be announced at 8 am on 24 October.

Additionally, 300 lots of pearls were sold through an open tender system on 21 and 22 October.

The 2023 Mid-Year Myanmar Gems Emporium is organized by the Myanmar Gems Exhibition Central Committee from 20 to 28 October at Maniyadana Jade Hall, aiming to generate foreign income and economic benefits for the country.

The third day of the 2023 Mid-Year Gems Emporium

The third day of the 2023 Mid-Year Gems Emporium was held at Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw. Patron of the Myanmar Gems Emporium Central Committee Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi viewed round pearl lots, jade lots, lots of gems and jewellery stores at the Maniyadana Jade Hall, the venue for the exhibition yesterday morning.

Local and foreign merchants looked around and viewed the displays of pearl, jade, and gem lots in the hall and uncut jade lots outside the hall.

In the Gems Emporium, pearl lots No 151 to 300 are being put on sale under the open tender system.

Tender No 3, encompassing bids from lot No 151 to lot No 225, was opened at 1 pm. Subsequently, Tender No 4 was initiated at 5 pm and officials announced the sale of 150 lots of pearl.

During the exhibition, 300 lots of pearl were sold through an open tender system. On the fourth day, 160 lots of gems were also sold through the same system, with participation of both domestic and foreign jewellers.

The second day of the 2023 Mid-Year Gems Emporium

The second day of the 2023 Mid-Year Gems Emporium was held at Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw. Local and foreign merchants looked around and viewed the displays of pearl, jade, and gem lots in the hall and raw jade lots outside the hall.

In the Gems Emporium, pearl lots 1 to 150 are being put on sale under the open tender systems.

At the exhibition, out of the 300 pairs of pearls offered, Tender No 1, encompassing bids from pair No 1 to pair No 150, was opened at 1 pm. Subsequently, Tender No 2 was initiated at 5 pm, and officials announced the sale of 150 pairs of pearls.

On the third day of the exhibition, the remaining 300 sets of pearls, numbered from set No 151 to set No 300, will be sold through an open tender system, to both domestically and international jewellers.

The Mid-Year Myanmar Gems Emporium for 2023 is currently underway at the Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw, running from 20 to 28 October. The exhibition features a collection of 160 pairs of gems, 520 pairs of jade from Group A, 1,733 pairs of jade from Group B, and 1,792 pairs of jade from Group C, making a total of 4,045 pairs of jade available through an open tender system. These items will be made available for purchase by foreign jewellers.

More jewellers from four foreign countries attended the ongoing MidYear Myanmar Gems Emporium. The presence of a significant number of foreign jewellers has reportedly led to higher prices for pearl sets.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing views round displays of pearl, gem and jade lots at the opening of Mid-Year Myanmar Gems Emporium 2023.

CHAIRMAN of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the opening ceremony of the Mid-Year Myanmar Gems Emporium 2023 at Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

The Senior General and attendees to the ceremony watched a video clip on sales of jade and gems at the gem emporiums, production of pearls and sales, production of jewellery items, and preparations to hold the emporium 2023.

In Maniyadana Jade Hall, the Senior General and party viewed displays of jade, gem and pearl lots to be sold at the midyear emporium and the Senior General gave necessary guidance to officials.

They also viewed round private jewellery showrooms and displays of uncut jade lots displayed outside the hall.

Also present at the ceremony were Council Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo and council members, Union ministers and Union-level officials, and local and foreign gems merchants.

The Myanmar Gems Emporiums have been held since 1964 for selling gems and jade to earn foreign exchange for the State and ensure economic development of citizens. The current emporium will put 300 lots of pearl, 160 lots of gems and 4,025 lots of jade on sale to local and foreign gem merchants through an open tender system under the prescribed rules and regulations. In selling pearl and gem lots, the floor prices were set in the US dollar, and foreign merchants can buy pearl and gem lots in the US dollar, euro, yuan and baht but local merchants can purchase them in Myanmar kyat. Jade lots were classified in three groups. Jade lots of A and B classes will be sold in foreign currency and C class is set for encouraging MSME businesspersons.

A total of 500 lots of jade in Class A were set floor price in US dollar, and not only foreign gem merchants but local merchants must buy these jade lots in US dollar, euro, yuan and baht.

A total of 1,733 lots of jade in Class B were set at floor price in US dollar. Foreign merchants have to buy them in foreign currencies and local merchants in Kyat or foreign currencies.

A total of 1,792 lots of jade in Class C were set at floor price in Kyat for encouraging MSME businesspersons, and only local gems merchants can buy them in Kyat for payment.

The current Mid-Year Myanmar Gems emporium lasts from 20 to 28 October.

The (58th) Myanmar Gems Exhibition Was Held Successfully.

The closing ceremony of the 58th Myanmar Gems Exhibition was held on the afternoon of (23-3-2023) at Mani Yadran Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw.
Today, domestic Foreign jewelers have a chance to browse the sets of jade that are displayed in designated areas outside Mani Yadaran Jade Hall.

Today, the officials opened and inspected the price lists submitted for 650 pairs of jade from (1501) to (2150) and announced that 430 pairs of jade have been sold.

 In the exhibition, domestic 295 pairs of pearls were sold to foreign jewelers from March 18 to 19 through an open tender system. 120 pairs of gems were sold on March 20, 77 pairs of gems and 2,150 pairs of jade were sold from March 17 to 23, and 1,544 pairs of jade were also sold.

The 58th Myanmar Gems Fair was successfully held at the Mani Yadran Gem Hall from March 17th to 23rd, organized by the Myanmar Gems Fair Central Committee, in order to generate foreign income for the state and economic benefits for the citizens.
